MagicBox™ Partners with Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF)

    • MagicBox™ is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership with the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF). AADF is a non-profit organization, created in 2009, by the Albanian-American Enterprise Fund, with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United States Government. The foundation projects are organized in three main pillars such as Education & Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Cultural & Eco-Tourism.

    AADF has been running multiple education-related programs in Albania, one of them being the CleanScore expansion project. It aims to become a framework in higher education agendas by capturing a majority of the student base. The eBook platform of CleanScore would be the first of its kind in Albania.

    What AADF Needed

    The CleanScore program aims at reshaping the methodology and culture of learning for Albanian students.

    At AADF, we wanted to build the first Digital Book Platform in Albanian academia to increase student’s accessibility to textbooks and reduce book costs for students. We also wanted to increase awareness of copyright issues in the region and help reduce a negative trend, such as book photocopying. But we couldn’t find a platform that could help us realize all our goals until we found MagicBox™.

    How MagicBox™ Fulfilled the Requirements

    As part of the agreement with AADF, MagicBox™ will set up a white-labelled instance of the Web platform and four offline apps (iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac). “AADF was highly impressed by the ability of MagicBox™ to provide accessible learning, multi-device access, and offline learning to all. The personalization, analytics, DRM and license management features also made us a better fit for them. We could also provide localization in Albanian, which they needed,” said Harish Agarwal, Director and Global Head of Products, Magic EdTech.
